After 40 years in Pastoral Ministries, serving in several states, I retired to enter into a new phase of ministry.  In 1990, after pursuing special training for the task, I entered into the work of serving as interim pastor for churches who are between pastors.  I have found this to be a much needed ministry:  to enter into a church where the position of pastor is vacant, and as interim, minister to that church, while preparing them to receive a new pastor as he comes onto the field.  So far, I have served 13 churches in this capacity and Laverne and I have been blessed to be able to serve in this capacity beyond our retirement.
